VESTERHAVET
"Vesterhavet" is a collaborative experiment between Kristina Kristoffersen and Lutz Wagner (Moto Waganari). The shape and movement of the object was created on basis of the sounds of the Ocean that were recorded at the Danish west-coast and later processed to match the digital universe of German based architect and visual artist Moto Waganari.
The idea was to find innovative ways to design objects or architectural structures that were quite location specific, being able to be put into real life in form of sculpture or future buildings. “Vesterhavet” works within the realm of future and nature combined but could depending on location, become something else.
The sounds were created for headphones.
The work was presented at The Royal Academy of Music Denmark as part of the Sounddesign exam. 2022 and received praise for it’s futuristic and innovative approach.

ELLEVE
THE CAMPER - DAY / NIGHT
Inside a forest in Northern Jutland, hidden behind trees and bushes, stands an abandoned and dilapidated caravan. No one can remember where it comes from or what it does there. It has been forgotten. Likely it meant something to someone at some point. Having a value and a purpose, now it seems like a lonely and out-of-place object that is slowly and partially degraded by nature. But looks are deceiving. Because where the caravan was once useful to man, the life of the forest has now moved in and created new organic cultures and habitats. The old memories have been replaced by new ones and intertwine in a wonderful way. In present and past tense. “The camper” is an art, sound installation and multimedia work by Kristina Kristoffersen (Elleve). The installation took place in the period 24/4 - 1/5 2023 from 12-15 and 19-22 PM.
During the intervals, two different compositions were played in the form of hidden speakers from the caravan. The visitors had to witness the contrast between day and night, the sounds of nature and the compositions as a functioning unit, and at the same time reflect upon our consumption and "throw away" culture. And what happens when we don't take a stand. The main focus of the artist was to create an atmosphere that the visitor could observe by both using the area inside and outside of the caravan with the senses, ideally using the own imagination to interpret a story. The music consisted of recordings of various lengths, thus the composition was never quite the same. In addition, nature's influence on the soundscape also helped to change the perception and atmosphere in and around the caravan. In the videos "Day" and "Night" we can relive a moment from the place. The videos are recorded on a modern iPhone and are deliberately not edited, to create a more authentic and relatable "dogma" experience. The composition you experience is the captured moment of music and field recordings from both video and binaural microphones in a large patchwork, with purpose to recreate the feeling of being there in person.
